More About Anne
Anne began her career with Pan American World Airways and held positions in passenger services, training, and corporate communications. As part of the public relations staff, she directed the airline’s internal communications, edited the company newspaper and served as the Chair of the Airline Editors Forum of the Air Transport Association. She also served as a company spokesperson in crisis situations. Anne’s client list in the hospitality industry spans major brands, including Hyatt, Starwood, Wyndham, Crowne Plaza, IHG and Hilton, as well as such prominent independent hotels as London’s Royal Garden and Athenaeum hotels, Le Manoir aux Quat’ Saisons in Oxfordshire and The Kitano New York. Her retail sales experience includes several upscale malls, and online promotions include work for Pan Am Brands, owners of the Pan Am name and retailers of fine luggage and travel accessories. While serving as public relations counsel for Historic Royal Palaces, Anne led the media launches of new products available in the shops serving The Tower of London, Kensington Palace and Hampton Court Palace.
Anne has extensive experience in food promotion working with Chef Raymond Blanc, New York’s celebrated ‘21’ Club, the James Beard Foundation, and the Zagat Survey. A versatile and prolific writer, Anne’s work appears in local and national business, lifestyle and trade publications and online. She has won several writing and marketing awards including the IABC Award of Excellence and the ASTRA Honors Award from the New Jersey Communications and Marketing Association. She holds two Adrian Awards from the Hotel Sales and Marketing Association International including a Gold Adrian Award for PR Excellence for a global PR campaign linked to the launch of the ABC series, Pan Am. In 2015, Anne was one of several Irish American entrepreneurs honored by The Irish Echo. Anne often serves as a resource for information on the history of air travel and has appeared on Good Morning America, BBC World News, AOL TV, Rudy Maxa’s Travel and in two documentaries, Come Fly with Me – The Pan Am Story, for BBC2 and I Was a Jet Set Stewardess on the Smithsonian Channel. Anne holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Rosemont College in Pennsylvania.
